About the project
The AI4Uni project is focused on AI literacy and aims at developing the digital skills and competencies of all members of the academic community: students, academic and administrative staff. It also addresses organisational needs of the universities to use newest technologies to their advantage in order to enhance their capacity.
When Chat-GPT was launched, it went viral like no other invention before. Technology world is a rapidly changing environment and artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly important role in all areas of life. AI with its ability to analyse data, learn from experience and make autonomous decisions is opening up new opportunities and challenges for Higher Education.
Ethical principles, content verification, moderation,
awareness of risks and responsibility are becoming essential.
The goal of the project is to equip the academic community with a comprehensive understanding of the impact of artificial
intelligence.
AI can’t be avoided. Bringing it down, in the academic context, to a question of plagiarism is counterproductive. The change has already happened and universities both as educational institutions and working environments are obliged to take active part in it.
